Pedro Souto
MOTELX founder and film producer

Pedro Souto is the first revelation on the jury team for the 3rd edition of the HaHaArt Film Festival. He is one of the founders of MOTELX – Lisbon International Horror Film Festival, where he has been director and programmer since its creation in 2007. He is also the producer of films such as “O Primeiro Verão” and “28½”. For the last 7 years he has been Secretary General of the Méliès International Festivals Federation.
Mónica Santos
Director and art director

Mónica Santos is the second member of this year’s HaHaArt Film Festival jury. Mónica is a multifaceted author with two Sophia Awards from the Portuguese Film Academy and a nomination for the César from the French Film Academy. She is a member of the Portuguese Film Academy and the American Academy Awards. His film “Alma” won several awards, and he recently released the film “O Casaco Rosa”, based on the fascist police inspector, as well as “Palma”, a story about mourning with surreal undertones. Screenwriter and director

Janine Gonçalves is a screenwriter and director from Pombal who explores the boundaries between fiction and reality. She began her journey studying Documentary Film and later studied fiction. In 2022 she premiered her first short fiction film, “Às Vezes os Dias, Às Vezes a Vida”, in the national competition of the IndieLisboa festival. This film shows us the life of Lena, a single mother with two jobs who is trying to reinvent herself as a mother and, above all, as a woman. Janine has also been a film manager and programmer for FEST – New Directors | New Films, in Espinho, since 2017. José Paiva Capucho
Journalist and film critic

Freelance journalist, film and television critic. He writes for Expresso, Observador and Comunidade Cultura e Arte. He covers Portuguese and international cinema at festivals in Portugal and abroad. He has two movie podcasts: “Só Uma Nota”, as well as a newsletter, and “Tenho Lá para Ver”. Guillermo García-Ramos
Director and screenwriter

Guillermo García-Ramos is a screenwriter and director, as well as a teacher and pitch instructor. Throughout his 20 years of experience, he has trained and helped a large number of film and television professionals in schools, laboratories and film festivals. These include ECAM, the Film Academy Residencies, FEST, Film Meeting, Queer Cine Lab and Filmmarkethub. He is the author of the book “Cómo hacer un Pitch para Cine y TV”, published by Ocho y Medio.
