Call 2024

Submissions for the 3rd Edition of the HaHaArt Film Festival will be open until July 31, 2024.

In the competition, only short comedy films are accepted, with up to 40 minutes and a year of production equal to or after 2022. The films in the competition are considered for the following award categories:

Best National Comedy Short Film (500,00€ award)

Best International Comedy Short Film (500,00€ award)

Best National Comedy Short Film Director (300,00€ award)

Best International Comedy Short Film Director (300,00€ award)

Audience Award (300 euros)

The Best National Short Film and Best National Director categories are dependent on the number of Portuguese films in the selection, requiring a minimum of five films for the categories to be considered.

The official selection will include about 25 short films. This number may vary according to festival requirements.

Applicants may submit a maximum of 3 films per director/production team.

Films in all languages are accepted, as long as they are sent with either Portuguese or English subtitles.

The submitted films must be in digital format, with the purpose of being shown on the big screen.
