He has a doctorate in Media Artes and is an alumni of EAVE Producers Workshop, Berlinale Talents, Rotterdam Lab, Locarno Match Me and ACE Producers Mentoring Programme. He is the creator of the GUI\u00d5ES &#8211; Festival do Roteiro de L\u00edngua Portuguesa festival. He first had experience in cinema in international production companies like RT Features (Brazil) and Savage Film (Belgium). He was a jury at ICA &#8211; Instituto do Cinema e Audiovisual de Portugal, and a jury in many international film festivals. He worked on projects on BRO Cinema between 2018 and 2022 and worked on SPI as well, before dedicating his time entirely in his production company Matin\u00e9, starting in 2023.\n<br\/><br\/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1382\" src=\"https:\/\/hahaartfilmfestival.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/catia_biscaia.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/>\n<strong>C\u00e1tia Biscaia<\/strong>\n<br\/><br\/>\n\nC\u00e1tia has a post-graduate degree in Audiovisual and Multimedia from the Lisbon School of Media. Professional photographer \u2013 awarded nationally and internationally \u2013 and university lecturer in the field of Image, she also works in the area of Cinema, as Director of Leiria Film Fest (International Short Film Festival), producer, scriptwriter and image assistant for award-winning films such as: \u00abHushed. Left. Jumped\u00bb, \u00abFled. Lay. Fell\u00bb, \u00abManuel\u00bb, \u00abThe Flight of the Mantarays\u00bb, \u00abMemories of an Empty House\u00bb (directed by Bruno Carnide), among others. \u00abHer name is Carla\u00bb is her first work as a director.\n\n<br\/><br\/>\n\n<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1384\" src=\"https:\/\/hahaartfilmfestival.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/miguel_faustino.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/>\n<strong>Miguel Faustino<\/strong>\n\n<br\/><br\/>\nMiguel is a young cinematographer. He studied cinema at the Universidade Lus\u00f3fona de Humanidades e Tecnologias in Lisbon. He was awarded 3 different times, one of them with the \u2018Best Cinematography on a Student Project\u2019 on AIP 2023, with the film \u201cVanette\u201d, which was also awarded with other prizes at Sophia 2023. He was an intern at Krypton Films and later at Rental House PLANAR. In 2023 he officially started his path as a DP, having already worked on different projects, such as webseries, documentary, advertising, music videos and short films.\n\n<br\/><br\/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1398 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/hahaartfilmfestival.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/manuel_pureza.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/>\n<strong>Manuel Pureza<\/strong>\n\n\n<br\/><br\/>\nHe studied photography and directing at the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema. At 25 years old he became one of the youngest directors working in television. His directing work have been awarded twice at the International Emmy Awards. He directed some short films: \u201cA Bruxa de Arroios\u201d, with which he won the 2012 M\u00e9li\u00e8s d\u2019Argent; \u201cKieza\u201d, produced in Angola, that was in Cannes, in 2016, and won the Best Actor prize at the Best Actors Film Festival in San Francisco, as well as the Gold Remi Award in the World Fest Houston International Film &#038; Video Festival; \u201cFiel\u201d and \u201cUm \u00daltimo Dia de Primavera\u201d, that were shown in many festivals in 2020. In 2021 he released two tv-shows on RTP: \u201cAt\u00e9 que a Vida nso Separe\u201d &#8211; that debuted in 198 different countries through Netflix in January 2022. Then he released \u201cP\u00f4r do Sol\u201d, a nonsense soap opera that had two seasons and even a film that had a big success in Portugal.\n\n<br\/><br\/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1388\" src=\"https:\/\/hahaartfilmfestival.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/paolo_blanco.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/>\n<strong>Paolo Marinou-Blanco<\/strong>\n<br\/><br\/>\n\nA screenwriter, director and producer graduated in Philosophy and History in the London School of Economics, and with a masters degree in French Literature in the University College London. As a grantee from Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Gulbenkian, he also has a masters degree on Cinema and TV from the Tisch School of the Arts &#8211; New York University. After an internship with Spike Lee, Paolo wrote and directed his first full-length feature \u201cGoodnight Irene\u201d, with Robert Pugh, Nuno Lopes and Rita Loureiro. It was selected to be shown at the Tallinn Black Nights IFF, Edinburgh IFF, and more than 30 other international festivals. He has also been a screenwriter in the USA, Portugal and Brazil. Some of his projects are: \u201cBrass Monkey\u201d, \u201cVila Ol\u00edmpica\u201d, \u201cCity of Mist\u201d and \u201cLast Harem\u201d.
